WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program and Training Manager to join our SAF IS/US and ISD Workforce Design and Enablement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the program management aspects of the team, including facilitating internships, interim roles, Fellowships, onboarding processes, professional development initiatives, and providing training support for our teams.

Manage program to ensure that implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Plan, design and implement programs and services in assigned program area. Monitor and analyze program activity and identify areas for improvement. May perform activities that support funding and proposal initiatives. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Workforce Design and Enablement team's programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the effective facilitation of internships, interim roles, Fellowships, onboarding processes, and professional development initiatives.
  • Design, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive training programs to support the needs of our teams, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across locations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions to address them.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and trends in program management and training methodologies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for program-related inquiries and provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization, promoting employee growth and engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and resources to support program and training initiatives.

1: Perform activities relating to the implementation, evaluation, design and management of program or service. Perform administrative, fiscal and inventory duties as needed to support program operations.
2: Monitor program activities and develops status reports for management review.
3: Collect and analyze data, identify areas of need and/or improvement, and develop recommendations for program improvement.
4: Administer processes within assigned program area. Analyze operating practices and recommend revisions to improve established procedures.
5: May perform activities that support funding and proposal initiatives.
6: Develop and cultivate professional relationships with key internal & external partners/organizations.

Scope: Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge; knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Work independently and may instructor coach other professionals.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/a
Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service and ability in creating presentations and developing training modules. Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: Travel may be required.

  • Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
The salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $90,000
