This position is primarily responsible to develop strategies to advance health equity at Geisinger Health Plan. The candidate will develop and inform best practices for advancing health equity, build relationships with key community stakeholders and organizations, and developing data-informed strategies to reduce health disparities, and support organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The candidate will provide day-to-day oversight, including administration, implementation, communication and strategy of the program. and initiatives to benefit clients, patients, members, and the communities we serve. The position will manage cross-functional projects and other assignments across the health plan. Key responsibilities include managing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization. Develops new programs or expands existing programs to support the strategic direction of the organization to ensure program goals and initiatives are achieved. The candidate will coordinate internal and external teams and create data and analytic solutions and connections.
- Independently developing strategies to advance health equity at Geisinger Health Plan in partnership with other stakeholders across the organization
- Developing and informing best practices for advancing health equity, building relationships with key community stakeholders and organizations
- Developing data informed strategies to reduce health disparities and support organizational policy and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements specific to health equity, ensuring compliance and establishing a positive working relationship with regulators
- Leading the health equity steering committee comprised of GHP executive leadership and department heads to review data, regulatory requirements, educate to ensure cultural competency within our employees
- Responding to RFP’s specifically addressing health equity initiatives on behalf of Geisinger
- Representing Geisinger at local, statewide and national speaking engagements
- Identifying opportunities for alignment with other MCO’s, community partners, statewide programs and organizations focused on health equity; building and managing relationship on behalf of Geisinger
- Creating reporting, dashboards and KPIs to reflect program outcomes and impact
- Developing and overseeing focus groups to gain feedback on programs and initiatives to inform adjustment and innovation to strategies
- Focusing on project management and the design, implementation, and oversight of health equity programs and initiatives to benefit clients, patients, members, and the communities we serve

Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Required)
