AUCD, a national nonprofit organization supporting the disability community, is seeking a highly motivated, accomplished, organized, and goal-oriented Program Manager to support the MCH Engagement Team.

The Program Manager will provide technical assistance (TA) to interdisciplinary training and research programs/centers across the United States, primarily Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Other Related Disabilities (LEND) and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) training programs. This project is authorized by the federal Autism Collaboration, Accountability, Research, Education, and Support (CARES) Act. The Manager will work collaboratively with the MCH Engagement Team to (1) support the development, delivery, and evaluation of training and TA provided to LEND and DBP programs; (2) support the quality, efficacy, and continuity of all TA activities provided; and (3) promote health equity, diversity, cultural and linguistic responsiveness, and inclusion within the training programs. This individual's responsibilities also support UCEDDs (University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities) through AUCD's contract with ACL's Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disability Programs.

Overview of Responsibilities

Technical Assistance

  • Serve as the team lead on key TA projects/initiatives, such as the Focused Assistance to Support Training (FAST) projects, as requested.
  • Work with AUCD staff, network members, and external stakeholders to develop and strategically disseminate resources (e.g., informational webinars, web content, best practice documents)..
  • Support in-person and virtual meetings, trainings, topical work groups and special interest groups, and the development of informational resources to meet the needs of LENDs, DBPs, and UCEDDs.
  • Provide staff support to AUCD and national LEND, DBP, and UCEDD network entities (work groups, AUCD Councils, Special Interest Groups, etc.) that are topically relevant to cooperative agreement/contact objectives and poised to address emerging training and public health issues.
  • Respond to requests for information, referrals, and assistance from member programs, federal project officers, people with disabilities and their family members, and others.
  • Represent the interests of LENDs and DBPs in the context of broader AUCD initiatives (e.g., strategic planning, communications, leadership development).
  • As needed, act as backup for the Sr. Manager, MCH Engagement and perform other duties as assigned.

Communications and Event Support

  • Work with AUCD staff, network members, and external stakeholders to develop and strategically disseminate resources (e.g., informational webinars, web content) for Autism CARES Network members, specifically LEND and DBP network members.
  • Solicit, develop, and package content for newsletters, fact sheets, websites, and other publications and resources.
  • Collaborate with MCH Engagement Team to ensure website content is updated frequently and disseminated to identified members and other stakeholders.
  • Provide logistical support during virtual and in-person meetings and events, including workgroup meetings.

Administrative Assistance

  • Attend and take detailed notes for meetings, including workgroup meetings, held by the MCH Engagement Team.
  • Coordinate accessibility requests for all events and meetings held by the MCH Engagement staff.
  • Participate in data collection and evaluation efforts.
  • Assist with financial activities, including but not limited to processing invoices and sending reminders to sub-awardees and consultants of financial deadlines.
  • Monitor and update administrative and communications processes in the MCH Engagement Team's project management software.
  • Maintain and update filing system for the MCH Engagement Team.

Position Requirements

Education: Master's degree in a social science, education, administration, public health, policy, or other relevant field (or equivalent professional experience).

Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience in human services, health sciences, disability, public health, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Personal or professional experience with individuals with disabilities.
  • Training or work experience in a LEND or DBP program.
  • Experience in providing technical assistance and consultation in topics related to MCH workforce development; maternal and child health; cultural and linguistic responsiveness, diversity and health equity strategies; and/or clinical program management in higher education settings.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000. This position is funded by a federal cooperative agreement and contract and will be contingent upon continued funding.

This position is 100% remote.
