JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Duke Today Program Specialist to develop, implement, and coordinate the Duke Today program, which offers same day or next day scheduling opportunities for patients. The Duke Today Program Specialist will have additional responsibility to partner with department and clinic leadership on data analyses and project management to progress access initiatives across the practice.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support workflow design, project management, implementation, and ongoing optimization of same/next day scheduling programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate Duke Today effectiveness. Investigate trends and recommend opportunities to improve Duke Today across live specialties.
  • Develop and document Duke Today standard work and best practices.
  • Provide an exceptional patient scheduling experience. Assist with daily same/next day scheduling request escalations and follow up.
  • Partner with the Virtual Care Center and Duke Health Access Services to accomplish access initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and analyses requested by Clinical Department leadership related to access opportunities and Duke Today program updates.
  • Support the implementation of innovative access pilots through project management, data analyses, and patient feedback.
  • Attend access champion meetings and clinical service operations meetings to answer questions and provide feedback related to the Duke Today program.


JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program with one year of experience in program administration or event production.

  • Or two years of postsecondary education with three years of experience in program administration or event production.

  • OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.


JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
