A Day in the Life of a Property Accountant

HomeRiver Group is looking for a detail-oriented problem solver to join our Accounting Team. This individual will be a degreed accountant with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to help our rapidly growing company as we expand nationally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sense of urgency while completing their respective responsibilities and will professionally interact with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation, presentation and communication of operating results for the investor's properties.

As our Property Accountant, you will prepare and present property financial statements and related financial documents. You will positively resolve and ensure financials are accurate, on time, and in compliance with GAAP, state/federal laws, and company policy. Reconcile bank, investment, and trust statements and manage cash flow/owner distributions. You will collaborate and oversee basic property accounting activities such as ledger accuracy, collections, invoicing, security deposit disposition, etc.

Qualifications:

• Experience using modern property management software
• Advanced experience using MS Office applications and G-Suite
• The candidate should be computer savvy and quickly adapt to new computer systems
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Ability to operate with a sense of urgency
• A reliable vehicle with proof of insurance
• Highly organized and detail oriented with focus on data integrity.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required
