This is a full-time teleworker opportunity in Oklahoma.

Aetna Better Health of Oklahoma’s focus on health, recovery and resiliency is essential in systemic change as the coordination amongst systems can drive health and wellness and address the social determinants of health. The concept of recovery and resiliency is essential in designing and developing structures which can respond in real time and be flexible to serve those needs. To effectively implement these recovery and resiliency modalities, a Recovery and Resiliency Administrator facilitates cooperation between the health plan and community-based organizations that focus on peer-to-peer services for the purpose of identifying voids in care that could assist and maintain community tenure.

  • Engage and collaborate with internal staff such as quality, utilization management, case management and provider relations to identify gaps in care/services and work to breakdown associated barriers.
  • Builds partnerships with individuals, families, youth, and key stakeholders to promote recovery, resiliency, and wellness within the Oklahoma Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder services delivery system
  • To intersect with external stakeholders including peer-to-peer agencies and community-based organization for the purpose of identifying and mitigating gaps within the System of Care
  • To provide internal and external education and training regarding the benefits of and the reasons for recovery and resiliency to support health and wellness.
  • In partnership with the health plan and by utilizing Oklahoma State specific contract, establish a strategic plan to include objectives, required reporting, intended outcomes and results.
  • Serve as health plan liaisons with state agencies, provider groups, and community-based organizations in Oklahoma.
  • Support care management staff, when complex needs are identified, and assistance is needed with connection to services, additional resources, and transition planning.
  • Communicate and collaborate with members and families to identify concerns and remove barriers that affect service delivery and member satisfaction.
  • Serve as an example that recovery is possible and therefore, reduces stigma in the internal culture
  • Attend health plan rounds including Care Management, Utilization Management, and Transitional rounds
  • In partnership across multiple departments, coordinate the monitoring and tracking of outreach events which align and support community and membership goals
  • Promote and support increased access, linkage, and utilization of Peer Support services for our Aetna Better Health of Oklahoma members
  • Design, implement, and monitor new Peer Support Specialist programs and initiatives to improve health outcomes and services to better support our members in recovery from Serious Mental Illness and/or Substance Use Disorder

Position Requirements

  • Must reside in Oklahoma
  • 5+ years of experience working in the Recovery system focused on improving services, access, and linkage for individuals to promote recovery from Serious Mental Illness and/or Substance Use Disorder or similar roles with Oklahoma state entities, community stakeholders, agencies, or Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics
  • Knowledge and understanding of the state Medicaid managed care market, regulations, practices, and integrated health system strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in public sector, managed health care.
  • 2+ years’ experience using personal computer, keyboard navigation, navigating multiple systems and applications; and using MS Office Suite applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Oklahoma certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist. If not certified, completion of a Certified Peer Recovery Support Training Program as recognized by the State of Oklahoma is required within 90 days of start date.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel in-state up to 25% of the time. Mileage is reimbursed per our company expense reimbursement policy.
  • Oklahoma certification as Peer Recovery Support Specialist, is preferred at time of hire.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services , related field or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $149,328.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
