Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Referral Coordinator to join our administrative team for our Dialysis clinics. You will play a crucial role in facilitating the referral process for our patients, ensuring that they receive timely access to the specialty care they need. You will be responsible for managing patient referrals, obtaining necessary authorizations, and coordinating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Responsibilities:
· Receive and review referral requests from healthcare providers and ensure all necessary information is provided.
· Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as required by insurance companies.
· Coordinate appointments with specialty care providers, ensuring that patients receive timely access to the appropriate services.
· Communicate with patients regarding referral status, appointment scheduling, and any additional information needed.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of referral requests, authorizations, and appointments.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns related to referrals.
· Provide support and assistance to patients in understanding their insurance coverage and navigating the referral process.

Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree required.
· 2 years of experience in healthcare administrative setting (referral coordinator, benefits coordinator, or admissions coordinator) required.
· Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance procedures, and referral processes.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Proficiency in computer skills, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
