Job Description

Stenner Pump Company, an established and growing metered pump company headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the West Coast.

The right candidate will have general water treatment industry experience and work from a home office within the region. You will be is responsible for overall sales growth of the accountable sales region and for achieving established projections and goals for the region.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving established sales projections for the accountable sales region
  • Determine when travel is necessary and submit requests for approval prior to travel
  • Proactively conduct prospecting and follow-up calls utilizing a 50/50 goal.
  • Call on and maintain working relationships to grow sales with existing accounts
  • Monitor and manage VRL for the accountable sales region
  • Prepare and file call reports for each sale activity utilizing CRM
  • Responsible for opening new accounts in current and new markets
  • Conduct product training and sales presentations utilizing company vehicles and on location as required
  • Represent company at regional and national trade shows as assigned
  • File expense reports as required
  • Report activities and results to Vice President of Sales as requested

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Submit travel itineraries to the Vice President of Sales prior to travel, requiring the planning and scheduling of customer/prospect visits
  • Comply with all company policies, practices, procedures, and instructions as directed
  • Participate in proactive team efforts; share knowledge/skills to achieve department and company goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in general water treatment industry
  • Ability to:
    • read and interpret documents such as manuals and specification sheets
    • develop and write reports, correspondence, presentation materials, and manuals
    • speak effectively before groups of customers and employees
    • calculate, interpret, and present figures, discounts, percentages, fractions, ratios, and graphs
    • define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
    • interpret a variety of information furnished in writing, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • display intermediate computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics
    • prioritize and organize a daily schedule, tasks, and projections on a simultaneous basis
    • operate a company vehicle/rental car safely and maintain a valid driver’s license
    • work in a team environment

Working Conditions

  • Telecommuter/home office conditions are employee’s responsibility
  • Will be exposed to conditions encountered during the normal course of auto and air travel
  • Company-furnished automobile will be in employee’s possession, but available for use by other sales representatives should the need arise.

Physical Requirements

  • A combination of standing for long periods of time, sitting, and walking
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.
  • Communication to talk, see, and hear clearly
  • Approximately 25-50% travel by automobile or air
