Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team on a volunteer basis. This is a remote position, and candidates must reside in Puerto Rico. The Human Resources Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and compliance.

Duties:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Develop and implement training programs to support employee development and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Support compliance efforts related to labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in Puerto Rico.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects to promote a positive work culture and employee engagement.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Proven experience in HR coordination or related roles, but may not be required.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
-Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Puerto Rico, with experience navigating local labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with employees at all levels
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Experience with recruiting processes and interviewing techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a volunteer position with no monetary compensation. However, volunteers will gain valuable experience in the field of human resources and will have access to all of our services for free, including financial planning. Additionally, volunteers and their family members may avail of these services, and each volunteer may assign up to 5 individuals.
