What are we looking for?

We want to add a creative and passionate Content Creator toour Development & Marketing Team. In this role, you will be a key contributor, helping shape and execute content strategies that support fundraising and marketing efforts. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and Development, Assistant Director, and Creative Lead to ensure that SJCSs brand voice and messaging are consistently represented across all materials.

In this role, you will craft compelling content and produce engaging video assets that resonate with different audiences across print and digital channels. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your storytelling skills to elevate SJCSs mission of advancing inclusive communities, increasing visibility into our organization's impact, and strengthening our position as a leader in Human Services.

Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:

  • Serve as a key member of SJCSs Development & Marketing Team, supporting the planning, implementation, and production of our annual communications calendar and content strategies forfundraising and marketing.
  • Source, write, and produce content, including video assets, for fundraising and marketing materials across print and digital channels for different audiences.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Development, Assistant Director, and Creative Lead to ensure SJCS fundraising and marketing brand and voice are carried throughout all materials developed and produced across the organization.
  • Stay current on the latest trends, research, and assets in philanthropy and marketing to adapt and apply these learnings to SJCS content.
  • Work closely with leadership from other departments and state offices to ensure harmony between programs, communications, and fundraising and marketing teams.

The hiring range for this position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 and is dependent on location and experience.

  • Have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals.

  • Able to travel to state offices and work remotely as needed.

  • Self-motivated leader with independent solid work and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented, with high integrity and the ability to manage confidential information
  • Effective and reliable communicator willing to test new ideas

Extra credit will be given if you have the following experience, education, and requirements:

  • A wide variety of content they have created
  • A portfolio of work
  • Nonprofit experience
  • A bachelors degree is preferred; at least three (3) years of experience in writing, creative marketing, and video development are required.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in writing, creative marketing, and video development preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.

All SJCS employees must:

  • Obtain a valid health certificate to meet SJCS or current funding authority requirements as required.
  • Meet SJCS and the funding authority requirement of criminal background and record checks.
