Job Overview:
The Research Assistant will principally support the Research Director, with secondary support to the research team. As a recently launched organization, States United is a small and nimble team, empowering Assistants to take on a wide range of responsibilities depending on the staff’s needs. Supporting this fast-paced and dynamic team requires a Research Assistant with a “can-do” attitude, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
The Research Assistant (RA) will work closely with, and in support of, the Research Director to provide quantitative and qualitative research support, as well as administrative support including scheduling, and preparation for meetings. Primary duties include research support, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to schedule meetings; preparing agendas, background materials, and memos for meetings; detailed note taking; formatting, proofreading, and fact checking research, reports, and other materials; drafting emails and correspondence on behalf of the Research Director; and ensuring a strong communication flow among team members by playing a liaison role.
Qualifications:
Annual salary begins at $60,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
