Job Description

Role Overview:

JMA Resources is seeking a highly motivated and self-direct SAP BOBJ Admin to enhance our Business Objects platform. In this role, you will play a key part in deploying and integrating business applications into a global Business Objects environment. Collaborating closely with systems, software engineers, and architects, you’ll help implement solution designed within our complex enterprise setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for upgrading the SAP BOBJ project to version 4 on-premises.
  • Implement the SAP BONJ upgrade to version 4.2 on-premises.
  • Strategize and coordinate the project plan for migrating SAP BOBJ from on-premises to the cloud (PCE).
  • Oversee the migration of SAP BOBJ from on-premises to the cloud.
  • Facilitate the migration of reports from on-premises BOBJ to Cloud BOBJ, maintain data integrity and accessibility.
  • Maintain BO architecture documentation, administration, upgrade, and patch support.
  • Promote reports/universes/users along with security settings from lower to higher-level environments following the change management processes.
  • Establish and manage security protocols by configuring user groups, permissions, and access restrictions based on user roles and profiles.
  • Create access levels (Developer, Reporter, Viewer, etc.) based on project and business needs.
  • Track, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve end-user incidents and tickets promptly, ensuring adherence to serve level agreements.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of industry best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Clearance Level:

  • Current DoD Secret level clearance.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must demonstrate:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
    • Excellent planning skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong technical knowledge.
    • Extensive knowledge of SAP BOBJ administration, including upgrades and migrations.
    • Knowledge of designing and building WEBI and Crystal reports in a Business Objects environment.
    • Knowledge of integrating BO with multiple SAP-based platforms.
  • Must have experience working with the following:
    • BO Administration of Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform, including the latest 4.3 software version.
    • WEBI and Crystal reports in a Business Objects environment.
    • Oracle, Hana, and other enterprise-level databases.
    • BO Universe and report design.
    • Application integrations utilizing the BO SDK.


Required Experience:

  • 5+ years as SAP BOBJ Admin.

Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Certifications:

  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Current OS Certification in Windows environment.

Location & Commitments:

  • Part-time remote position that may require travel to the client site and other work sites.
  • Hours based on the client.
