The Scheduler will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for security officers at various sites. This involves preparing and organizing work schedules for employees to make sure that the required or appropriate number of personnel or staff are on duty in every given work period or shift. They will ensure that staff receives required work hours according to work status, work to minimize over-time hours, and maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars. You will work alongside a co-worker and share on-call duties every other week.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to be able to effectively read, write and communicate.
  • Establish staffing patterns and schedules for security officers at various sites based on certification and criteria.
  • Assist in securing staff for absences, leave, etc., adjusting schedules as needed.
  • Maintains records on sick leave, unpaid time off, excused, and unexcused absences.
  • Update scheduling software daily to reflect accurate work times/time off request.
  • Heavy phone contact with employees and clients, including regular updates to the Director of Operations.
  • Be on-call after hours if needed for scheduling changes Thursday - Sunday.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Assisting with onboarding new hire.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good typing and mathematics skills.
  • Excellent technological aptitude and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow through.
  • Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees’ needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the client’s site.

Schedule

  • Thursdays 1pm-7pm
  • Friday - Sunday 7am-7pm

Training

  • Training will be Hybrid, in office for the first two days and remote for the other two days. This will be for the first 90 days.

Full time employees are eligible for company paid health insurance after 90 days!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
