New England Life Care currently has a Remote Scheduling Specialist position available. The normal schedule is Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with rotating weekend and holiday availability. Any shifts worked on the weekend will receive an additional shift differential. Any holiday shifts would be paid at a rate equivalent to 2.5 times the base pay rate.


The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Job Summary:

The person in this position is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with office operations as it relates to creating, organizing/reorganizing and the scheduling of patients/clients requiring home infusion services. This position involves daily interaction with other office support partners and serving as the point of contact with clinical staff, referral sources and patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes workflow for requested scheduled, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and delivered visits.
  • Monitors Pending Referrals daily and assigns nurses for all appropriate SOC
  • Communicates daily with field staff regarding any visits unaddressed in late, pending, or incomplete status for resolution as appropriate
  • Runs Scheduling Request Report daily. Monitors productivity and distribution of regular visits for caregiver optimization, communicates with Clinical Nurse Coordinator/Director of Nursing as appropriate
  • Reviews Unverified Visit report daily. Communicates with field staff, Clinical Nurse Coordinator/Director of Nursing as needed
  • Attended and participates in annual in-service programs, workshops, continuing educational programs, seminars, etc.
  • Assess and implement new scheduling software
  • Multi-task and work under pressure with changing priorities and short deadlines and effectively handle a heavy workload


Education:

  • Associate of Arts degree or equivalent years of training or work experience
  • One (1) year of scheduling experience in a home health care organization setting


Skills:

  • Communicate both orally and in writing, with clients, clinical and non-clinical personnel
  • Excellent Organization Skills
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Working / practical knowledge of microcomputer systems including patient documentation systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Dependability in attendance and job performance required.
