ServiceNow Platform Scrum Master

Remote (local to HQ in Wilmington, DE preferred)

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Candidates for this position must be eligible to work without sponsorship.  Time on-site or time zone may be necessary based on business need.

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master with a strong desire to lead multiple agile teams with focus on the ServiceNow Platform. At CSC, we establish and maintain an environment where the smartest, most productive, and fun to work with software professionals are motivated to do their best work. 

You would be part of a distributed, remote team and collaborate daily to deliver value to our internal customers. In this position, you will oversee day to day operations of the ServiceNow platform development and ITOM teams. You will work collaboratively with the ServiceNow Platform Owner, the development team, and various stakeholders within the organization to ensure the delivery of all ServiceNow platform work in a prioritized, efficient, and timely manner. 

Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Foster transparency and visibility, and radiate information-ensuring a team's progress, obstacles, and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders, including the team itself 
  • Leverage the ServiceNow platform for Agile work administration and reporting 
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, lessons learned, sprint and release planning, demos, retros, and other Scrum-related meetings 
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint-release progress 
  • Ensuring the development teams practice the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility 
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through backlog refinement, story selection, task definition, testing, and acceptance criteria
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks to delivery 
  • Assist leadership and product/capability owners with backlog maintenance 
  • Communicate project plans, sprint plans, release plans, or epic status to stakeholders 
  • Gain and maintain a detailed understanding of business goals and platform capabilities 
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices 
  • Create and maintain process documentation 
  • Remove blockers to team progress and proactively help the team make continuous improvements to avoid similar blockers in the future 
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary 

What technical skills, qualifications, and experience do you need? 

  • At least 1-3 years of Scrum Master experience within an Agile software development environment
  • ServiceNow experience preferred
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred
  • Self-motivated, Agile, and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks 
  • Drive and ability to remove obstacles for team success. 
  • Understanding and ability to foster an environment of inclusion, motivation and dedication 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), CMDB, and ITSM
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
