Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team primarily as a Secretary to answer phone calls, emails, texts and general questions that customers may have.
  • After learning the ropes and mastering the systems, this person in addition to handling communication, would take on more roles in their down time. Some of these tasks might include scheduling jobs, delivering estimates, sales calls, analyzing data, running reports, assisting in marketing content, creating newsletters, research, and possibly creating training content for others down the road.
  • As an Assistant, you will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain valuable experience in office management and administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all communication with customers (calls, emails, text messages)
  • Problem solve, answer questions, and be a helpful resource to our customers
  • Coordinate with management and employees
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • File and organize documents
  • Delivering estimates and making sales calls
  • Handle customer complaints

Current Position / Compensation:

  • Part-Time Secretary / Assistant
  • This is a work-from-home position. (But we do require applicants to live near our service area so that we can do in-person training for several weeks).
  • $18-20 per hour depending on skill level and proficiency

Schedule:

  • Spring & Fall - 20 to 30 hrs / week (4-6 hrs / day, depending on call volume)
  • Summer - 20 to 25 hrs / week (4-5 hrs / day)
  • Winter -5 to 10 hrs /week (1-2 hrs / day)
  • We are looking for someone who has a flexible schedule. Different seasons require different hours depending on call volume. We try to establish set office hours between 9-10am and 2-3pm based on when customers seem to call the most. But we can be slightly flexible based on the individual's schedule.
  • These hours could eventually grow into a full-time position (if desired) as the company continues to expand.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong desire to always improve and become more efficient
  • Persistent desire to fill time with productivity, rather than sitting idle

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have high-speed internet
  • Must have a quiet work environment
  • Have your own smartphone with a data plan.
  • Must have your own desktop computer OR a newer laptop that can use a dual monitor with HDMI.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • The ideal person for this role is someone who enjoys working from home, but does not have young children or an infant who needs their attention. A quiet background is also ideal. Another ideal is someone with a flexible schedule and who is not looking for a full time job.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
