Job Summary

This role will be responsible for leading aspects of a new Billing System implementation and taking responsibility for ensuring accuracy of information, analysis of work processes, effective training/support, configuration quality, and creating positive customer service relationships. In addition, the role will review, analyze, and evaluate business needs and work with the team to design effective, simple, creative solutions within the project constraints. Also, provide analysis, design, documentation and testing on current and future projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop business needs analysis to provide justification for changes and communicate efficiently the business requirements to the technical team and senior management.
  2. Analyze, understand, and dissect business processes and re-engineer with best practice.
  3. Reconstruct high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and quality specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by our developers.
  4. Proficient in developing visual modeling artifacts such as flow diagrams, data models, UI mockups.
  5. Write business requirements, use cases, and functional requirements for new applications or modifications to existing applications.
  6. Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, verifiable, and they conform to standards.
  7. Using technical knowledge, perform high-level analysis of user problems, make recommendations for new processes, changes, or corrections, develop, and implement appropriate solutions.
  8. Perform data analysis (filtering, queries)
  9. Develop detailed data mapping with ETL (extraction, transformation, load) requirements.
  10. Work cross-functionally to develop solutions to integrate IT and business process changes to support strategic business needs.
  11. Collaborate, cooperate and interact with project team members to take positive action and accountability for assigned work.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree - preferably with a major in finance, accounting, business administration, computer information systems, management information systems or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years in a Business Analyst role
  • Experience with project and development management tools.
  • Must be a team player through flexibility and relationship building with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to handle pressure situations and meet deadlines consistently.
  • IIBA certification a plus
  • Strong communication and coordination skills in English
  • Experience with agile or scrum teams.
