You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

● Be physically capable of performing work.
● Have a thorough understanding of automotive detailing, repairing, and refinishing metal, vinyl, and plastic.
● Have your own tools and equipment or be prepared to obtain same. (CIS may assist with a well-qualified candidate)
● Follow work orders for all jobs and communicate any upsells or clarifications immediately.
● Maintain inventory and keep operational tools and equipment in clean working order.

● Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. drills, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, compressors, heat guns, etc.)

● Repair as deemed necessary to refurbish existing elements.
● Ensure all needed repairs and any additional elements are identified to Operations Manager prior to starting work.
● Work flexible hours to get the job done.
● Have meticulous attention to detail and pride in your work and keep a clean working area.
● Comply with all CIS, EPA, and OSHA safety rules, guidelines and standards.
● Perform other related duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to pressure washing, installing products, etc.
● Have knowledge of operating machinery such as bucket lifts and compressors or be willing to certify prior to start.
● Basic knowledge of electrical and lighting components.

● You are at least 26 years of age (apprenticeships are available for younger qualified candidates) with a valid driver’s license.

● You have a truck with lift towing capabilities (for entrepreneurial pathway)
● You have OSHA certification or will obtain it prior to starting work.

● You are ok with working heights 45’-60’ in a lift with occasional heights of up to 120’.

● You can travel (up to 3 weeks out of the month during training and as needed).
● You can multi-task and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
● You have a personable, friendly demeanor with “World Class” customer service approach to internal and external customers.
● You have, and will maintain, a well-groomed appearance.
● You do not smoke on job sites or around materials or take medications/drugs that impair your ability to operate in the functions of your job according to OSHA safety standards. You will need to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

● Daily record-keeping to give an accurate representation of work being done.
● Take before and after pictures as well as complete site evaluations.
● Seek upsell opportunities while managing time and client expectations.
● Report to Operations Manager and submit to quality control audits of work completed.

● Complete work as per training SOP’s to provide 3 year warranty.
● Adapt to the mobile nature of our industry and be flexible in traveling as needed by the clients.
● Must be able to mask, tape, sand, wash, clean, prep, prime, and coat a variety of elements
● Advanced understanding of paint mixing to specifications. Mixing all chemicals according to manufacturer and CIS directions/specifications.
● Clean and maintain spray guns and other equipment after each use. Maintain a clean working environment at all times.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

● High School Diploma or GED preferred.
● Painting & Refinishing Certification
● Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
● Must pass drug test and background checks.
● Bucket truck and aerial lift experience not required, but a plus.
● Automotive spraying and detailing experience.
● I-CAR or PPG certification a plus.
● 1-year experience in automotive paint refinishing in the capacity of painter, body man, prepper, or similar technician role.
● Proven ability to troubleshoot repairs and deliver exceptional results on a consistent basis.
● Ability to correctly use hand and power tools to prepare a surface for finishing by use of bonding, priming, and correctly masking and blending.
● A high level of acumen regarding color matching and spraying basecoat and clearcoat.
● Ability to work outside using techniques compliant with local code enforcement, OSHA, and

EPA authorities to responsibly refurbish elements regarding spray equipment, waste elimination, and CIS’s safety guidelines.

● Willingness to learn ancillary services to give customers a complete suite of solutions.
● Prior work in collision repair, auto painting, signage, lighting maintenance, welding, painting, furniture refurbish, lineman, roofing, or tree service is a plus.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Position is based outside and at heights up to 120’. Physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to repair and refinish and lifting and carrying objects over 50lbs. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise.
Subject to weather conditions. Required to wear protective equipment when necessary. Occasional sedentary work while traveling. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
