About this Role:
Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), Contract Services Section (CSS), the position serves as DHCS’ contracting specialist. In this capacity, the incumbent provides direct supervision to staff engaged in various procurement and contracting activities, as well as other administrative support activities for the Procurement and Contracting Division (PCD).This position is subject to the Department’s Conflict of Interest Code and requires annual filing of a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).

The Procurement and Contracting Division (PCD) provides an array of contract services to DHCS programs including, but not limited to: the development and maintenance of models, forms, user guides and exhibits; assisting with all steps of contract planning including resolving contracting out issues; providing advice on competitive bidding issues including available bidding options; providing technical assistance during the contract development phase; reviewing and approving contracts, and acting as liaison with control agencies; and maintaining all Department contract files.
