Remote Position (Must reside in WA, OR, ID, or UT to be considered for this role)

SCOPE:

The Systems Analyst will report to the Systems Analyst Manager and is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance & support of the processes and systems used for accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, orders, pricing, inventory, and dispatch functions.

This position will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their goals, work with them to design their optimal business processes, and support them in the implementation and ongoing support of the solutions that will use multiple technologies to fulfill the organization’s needs. The individual in this role will have a strong technical capability and will understand the inter-workings and inter-relationships of the various systems used by the organization.

This position does not directly manage others, but acting as a project resource, will collaborate with multiple people and departments to ensure an understanding of the technological and performance requirements of the various software components, both during implementation and once fully functional. The Systems Analyst ensures that the tools by which we serve the various external and internal customers within our varied business units’ function effectively and efficiently to reliably serve the day to day needs of the business. This position will maintain a close working relationship with vendors to ensure they perform at expected levels.

Significant Activities & Deliverables:

  • Research the business’s needs and design and document processes and systems to meet those needs
  • Work closely with internal staff & 3rd party vendors to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot computerized accounting and line of business-related systems
  • Coordinate system updates
  • Project Management - managing multiple concurrent projects with stakeholders from multiple departments and outside partners collaborating to deliver a business process solution utilizing technology
  • Design, prepare, validate, and maintain configuration and process changes
  • Provide user training and support
  • Use feedback to improve systems
  • Coordinate and lead multiple projects with team members inside and outside of the organization, organize meetings, coordinate project deliverables, and follow up with people to ensure all tasks are delivered to successfully complete mission critical projects
  • Analyze data and reports to ensure integrity
  • Maintain Power Automate/SharePoint workflows
  • Write clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools

  • Work closely with the finance & accounting and operations teams to ensure the technology systems used by the team meet their needs

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and look-ups
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or other database programs for data manipulation and report writing
  • Experience creating workflows using Power Automate/SharePoint or similar applications
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills while being able to adapt to priority changes
  • 2+ years’ experience performing accounting or business system implementations

Preferred:

  • Experience with Sage 100, PDI Enterprise, and/or similar Petroleum ERP System
  • Experience programming with Python or other programming languages

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Operates in a professional office environment.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of times, talk, and hear.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, with the ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
