Job Description

Bueno Foods, one of the Southwest's premier producers of New Mexican and Mexican style foods, serving restaurant and retail customers throughout the United States, is looking to hire an enthusiastic sales professional to be our Retail Territory Manager in Denver, CO. You will be responsible for planning, organizing and executing sales activities in this growing market, as well as expanding the market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, direct and execute sales and marketing goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for merchandising activities.
  • Responsible for managing proper rotation and facing of stock and ensuring fresh stock on store shelves.
  • Resolves customer order problems.
  • Develop new markets as required.
  • Responsible for attaining sales goals in current and growth markets.
  • Responsible for developing new markets into profitable sales territories.
  • Develop and implement sales plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with end users, distributors and brokers.
  • Negotiate for the benefit of the company.
  • Manage headquarter calls and distributor relationships.
  • Enforce and negotiates contracts.
  • Develop, execute and present promotional programs.
  • Analyze sales activity by area, take required actions.
  • Plan actions to improve customer service.
  • Coordinate pricing issues with management staff.
  • Develop and make sales/marketing presentations to food service or retail headquarter and corporate accounts including executive management.
  • Conduct business reviews.
  • Conduct market analysis and research.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows.
  • Works on special projects.
  • Prepares reports.
  • Responds to customer service and departmental requests for information.
  • Trains sales staff as required.
  • Accountable for budget expenditures and analysis.
  • Monitors, evaluates and documents broker/distributor performance as required.
  • Frequent traveling (driving): Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and surrounding areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years sales. Food sales preferable.
  • Minimum 3 years managing a sales territory of at least $2,000,000 in annual sales.
  • Minimum 3 years of budget responsibility.
  • Minimum 3 years executive corporate call experience, preferred.
  • Ability to plan, execute the plan, organize & multi task.
  • Ability to analyze areas for sales and growth potential.
  • Experience with sales promotions.
  • Experience with sales administrative duties.
  • Proven record in attaining sales increases.
  • Experience with word processing and electronic spreadsheet software programs, in order to prepare reports and analyze data.
  • Valid/current driver’s license and a good driving record with no DWIs.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:

  • College degree in Business Administration, Marketing or General Management preferred.

TRAVEL : Frequently, in own vehicle. Mileage reimbursement.

PAY: Competitive, DOE
