Job Title:
Professional Virtual School Psychologist

Employer: Northwest Special Education Cooperative

Location: Michigan (Remote)

Duration: Full Time, August 19, 2024 - May 16, 2025

Grade Levels: K-12

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students in K-12 education.
  • Provide virtual counseling and support services to students, parents, and educators.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
  • Attend and actively participate in virtual meetings, including IEP meetings, team meetings, and staff development sessions.
  • Interpret assessment data and communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and regulations related to school psychology and special education.

Requirements:

  • Active Michigan Psychologist School Certification.
  • Previous experience working as a school psychologist in a K-12 setting preferred.
  • Proficient in conducting virtual assessments and delivering virtual services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a virtual work setting.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay rate: $50 - $55 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
