EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in public health, health promotion, health education, or related field required.
CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum of one current certification required. Desirable credentials include Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), Registered Dietitian, Certified Wellness Practitioner, Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), or Certificate in Total Worker Health,.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years' experience in health and well-being promotion. Experience should include progressive responsibility in implementing holistic, evidence-based well-being programs or initiatives for diverse adult populations with complex health conditions, preferably in an employer setting.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong oral and interpersonal communication, including public speaking, group facilitation, motivational interviewing, and relationship-building.
Demonstrated ability to organize complex information into cohesive communications using plain, inclusive language and cultural competency principles.
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with ability to identify processes and organize resources to coordinate multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to diversity, belonging, inclusion and equity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality in a HITRUST and HIPAA-regulated environment.
Proficiency in delivering health education content using virtual platforms (i.e., Zoom).
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel).
Proficiency with data collection and interpretation, including survey tools (SurveyMonkey, etc.)
Working knowledge of laws and regulations that govern employer-sponsored wellness programs.
