Summary:

The Wholesale, Sales Coordinator II is responsible for the management of relationships between the Account Executives and the Mortgage Brokers. This includes ensuring strong relationships are maintained with the existing brokers, as well as implementing programs to attract and source new partnerships.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key player in the solicitation of Wholesale business.

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and maintain relationships with mortgage brokers. Provide support on matters relating to mortgage products, underwriting standards, pricing, and risk management.

  • Prepare business development strategies to drive growth in the company's wholesale mortgage business.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to analyze current industry trends and develop actionable insights that will inform business decisions.

  • Generate innovative ideas for new mortgage products or customer programs that will meet the evolving needs of the wholesale market.

  • Recommend enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.

  • Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and other forums, building relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation and influence.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials as needed to support business growth and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with the AE in managing customer support processes for current customers.

  • Contribute to the AE’s generation of FHA, VA and Conventional mortgages through effective prospecting of mortgage brokers.

  • Source new brokers on an ongoing basis and submit required documents for broker approval.

  • Create processes to ensure that Account Executives are obtaining sufficient and complete documentation from the broker as required by Freedom Mortgage's underwriting/processing guidelines.

  • Serve as the liaison between Freedom Mortgage and the mortgage broker throughout all phases of the loan process.

  • Manage sales contacts, pipeline, and other pertinent sales activity reports.

  • Manage administration of the Account Executive conduct Client Training, Wholesale Portal Training, File Upload Training, and other trainings as needed.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Comply with all company policies and procedures.

This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports but may provide guidance, leadership or training to others.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Graduate/GED.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in the mortgage lending industry, with significant experience in wholesale mortgage broker programs.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite product.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with an ability to build consensus and work collaboratively across diverse teams.

  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop compelling business cases that drive profitable growth.

Preferred:

  • Project management skills.

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory issues related to mortgage lending.

  • Experience working with mortgage loan origination systems.

  • Expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.

  • Familiarity with call center KPIs.

  • Utilization of Salesforce as a CRM.

Ability to read words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to comprehend and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Customer Service Relationships:

Requires moderate interpersonal and communication skills to ensure that customer requests or needs are met. Acknowledges and clarifies customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure that needs are identified, documented and addressed.

Work Complexity:

Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of issues but typically are not complex. May require familiarity with the financial/mortgage (or job-specific) industry. Problems require understanding of other job areas. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
